Following from another thread, I would like to learn to follow
The other thread indicates this is socially unacceptable

Strange that, when a female leads, some tend to say "will you be the man" or words lilke that ............. but when a man follows, the most common term is "I would like to FOLLOW"

:confused::confused::confused:

Hi Philsmove

I think it is really good that you would like to be a follower (or woman without the surgery). I don't think it is seen as socially unacceptable and I have led quite a few men some on this forum (some were a lot easier than others). Just ask one of the ladies or guys you know that lead you. It's fun to swap roles sometimes.

I asked a lady that I'd already led into a dance, that had done the beginners lesson as a lead, whether she'd like to lead me.

Her response was confusion that I might want to learn to follow, and suggestion that I dance with a taxi dancer if I want to improve my lead.

Call me what you like, just let me dance!
