Is my Ipod shuffle being controlled by an Imp?

In much the same way as Mr Pratchett's camera was operated by an Imp in the Discworld novels ( http://wiki.lspace.org/wiki/Iconograph ), I have a feeling that something beyond random chance chooses the tracks played by my iPhone's Ipod shuffle function ........

An example of a recent sequence
Strange Love by Mike Sanchez ...
Shake Your Hips by Slim Harpo (the person who most famously performed Strange Love) ....
La Grainge (A song that uses the riff from Shake Your Hips) by ZZ Top
You Don't Love Me (A song that sounds like Shake Your Hips) by The Revolutionaires (Who sometimes sound like ZZ Top)

So how does it happen - coincidence, or is my iPhone haunted?
