Hi All
Found this passage in a book and it made me think.
Talent
Talent and natural abillity are commendable, for they make discapline easier to endure and dedication come more naturally.
Talent and natural ability alone are not the answer. Talent is raw, it is a beast, wild and untamed. It must be mastered, it must be trained so that it can be used with wisdom and pupose. It must be pruned like a tree so it will only bear the best friut.
Talent without discapline is only an empty promise---the glitter of an unworked crystal. It is nothing in itself.
Is this why I am only an average dancer?
Is this what makes great dancers great?
Just wondered
