Hi,

Just wanted to make you guys aware how difficult it was for me to register, the forum would not accept my email's (hotmail or Yahoo) and gave me a admin email to contact. I did, twice, with no reply. Eventually I gave in and used my work email...not ideal.

I wouldnt want this issue to deter any future members!

regards,
Rich :nice:

You don't like people who use free email accounts. Then again, you don't like anyone ! :yum:

I would guess it's done to stop spammers using the boards. Not ideal but better than every other post being for Viagra (depending on who you are of course).

Rich :nice:Welcome. The forum has had people trying to use, and abuse, multiple IDs. This is probably the reason the forum wants a primary email account.

This may well be the reason that the forum is not attracting so many new members as it might. I hardly ever use my primary email, the interface is very poor.

I understand the spam precautions, but not getting a reply from the admin after more than a week is a little frustrating.

Good job i'm persistant!

Don't let Dreadful Scathe put you off, he spends his weekends dressed as a clown and he doesn't even get paid to do so! It's just wrong!

That'll hold you in good stead! :D

Hmmm.... can you change your e-mail back to a yahoo/hotmail one now that you're in?

Oh, and PM Franck. He's the boss, so he's the one you'll need to talk to about the registration issues.

Welcome Aboard Jammin'

You have made it through the first stage of the initiation process, obviously !

It is downhill (rapidly - but in a good way) from now on

Most of us are pretty friendly

Good job i'm persistant!Apologies for the lack or response, but it seems many emails have been disappearing between spam filters and the change of server. I have checked your account and edited it to put your hotmail address instead of your work email (your emails had been spam filtered by Spam Assassin).

Welcome to the Forum,

Franck.

Hope it's not the 2010 bug http://it.slashdot.org/story/10/01/02/0027207/SpamAssassin-2010-Bug
