One for the Apple fans.

I have been offered a 20" Apple Cinema monitor for £15 but was wondering what kind of input Apple use in their monitors. Is it a standard VGA D-Sub or DVI? i.e. Can it be connected to a PC?

Cheers:cheers:

Mine's quite an old one, so things may have changed.

It has no input sockets. One big cable out splits into power, Firewire, USB and DVI plugs. All standard (apart from the power)

Anyway - for £15, you can't go far wrong.

The old ones need power from the computer, and an adaptor to make it work with computers that don't have the right connectors is expensive – basically, the price of a new screen.

The newer aluminium ones though have standard DVI connectors. The very new ones have a mini DisplayPort connector on them.

It had DVI connectors etc but I didn't get it as the backlights had gone (hence so cheap) and I can't be bothered with the hassle of trying to fix it at the mo. It would have just end up sitting in my monitors to sort pile.
