My AVG free virus protection has run out - Can anyone recommend a free replacement?
Thanks in advance :flower:

I don't have any expertise in this - but I thought you could still get AVG Free??

Another thought... I have free anti-virus software from my bank's online banking website. Barclays offer Kaspersky Internet Security for free - I think other banks may do the same.

AVG Free annoyed me a bit so I switched to Avast! which is also free.

It hasn't - they're just trying to scare you into upgrading. Download the latest version here (http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?part=dl-10044820&subj=dl&tag=button&cdlPid=11014801) and it should stop any annoying messages.

That's pretty much what I thought but was obviously having a dim moment about where to go for new software...doh!
