10. Use Your Emergency AOL Disk
If you find that your connection to the Internet is going to be longer than you can possibly stand, as a last resort, pull out an emergency AOL CD, the one with 910 free hours of connection to the AOL service. Take the CD in one hand...and slash it across your wrist! Suicide will probably be a better alternative than connecting to that service.

Very true, I cancelled my account with them they are crap.
Keep getting RNAAPP messages on my PC and found out it was AOL's dodgy software..!!!

i've had aol for donkeys on my comp....never had any problems. Any warning signs i should be looking out for?

I lasted about an hour with this one. What a load of twat!!!!

You just can't beat a nice broadband connection (which of course excludes BTOpenworld...)

Not much more expensive than dial-up.

I'm on AOL broadband and I'm quite happy with it! :nice:
I do get a few annoying pop ups though!

Try the Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com) - but make sure you check the privacy info too.

I was thinking of changing over to Freeserve, is it crap??
I think AOL is just crap, keeps crashing on my PC, and its slow,..!!

Had problems wiv it when I had it on a couple of years ago too,..!!
