Quite a line up  - anyone researched the likely cost of cheap accommodation? (trying to calculate a rough overall price)

You could try either of the following web-sites, maybe be worth starting a seperate thread, if we get a lot of folk interested ( Brady and I are both planning to go and will take partners), then we'd be able to organise some sort of discount

http://www.brightonlife.com/venues/search.php?type=accommodation

or

Bill & I went to the stompin event in brighton this year and it was really good, great teachers, a blues room and great atmosphere.
a scottish version would be a good idea. The whole event took place Hove town hall which was foutunate to have several rooms which could be used at onec for different classes and music styles
at night.

dance traders were there as well to buy shoes/ clothes etc.

I noticed an interest in the Stompin' in Brighton 2004 event which is happening next year. Here is hopefully a little more info for you.

In the next few weeks more information will be posted on the site www.eventsforcharity.co.uk regarding accomodation, teacher bio's etc but if you click on to www.brighton.co.uk You will have the choice of putting in how much you wish to spend and it will give you the hotels,b&b's etc within that price bracket.

You also have the choice of how many stars you want for a hotel.
By booking early you will have loads of choice. There is also a choice that by putting in where you want to be (Hove Town Hall Norton Rd ) it gives you the closest accomodation etc.

It's going to be a great weekend and with so many good teachers you can not but learn at least one new move!!!

Keep on Stompin'
