Missing facebook friends ?

Can anyone out in geeks corner explain how it is that I have a friend who is on Facebook but the remain invisible to me.

I am told he is on person X's list of friends but I cannot see them...

He cannot see my account either.

In a photo on facebook I can see him in photo but his name in the tag is black and thus does not link to an account.

What is it that we can do to "FIND " each other on FB??

explanations in non-geek english please.

Go to Settings on the top right
pick Privacy Settings

Check the Search Discovery box is set to everyone, also might be handy to check all the boxes in Search Results are ticked too, might make you more visible

Well I have tried all those things and still cannot find this FRIEND on FB.

I still have to get him to look at his settings.

Do you know your friend's email address?

If so then try typing it into the search box at the top RHS of the page. (I've never tried this for people whose settings are set to be very private though, so don't know if it works.:blush:)

Your friend needs to change there settings to become visible. You are visible now though, I noticed on pics from Skegness that you are now no longer an unclickable black name but a clickable blue one instead. So if it has worked for you the same should happen when your friend changes their settings, or in turn they should be able to find you now.
