I thought that this post can be used for encourgement and tips to help others realise their purpose and and help beginners identify and reach their goals.

What is your purpose in life?

What are you dance goals in the following 4 areas and have you achieved them?

Physical
- Strength
- Flexibility
- Stamina

Mental
- Motivation
- Confidence
- Intensity
- Concentration

Technical
- e.g. Lead & Follow, Double Spins etc.

Lifestyle
- Sleep, Diet, Work, Social

What is the difference between a goal and a purpose...

A Goal is something you accomplish, it has a beginning and an end.
A Purpose is more ongoing and gives meaning to our lives. When people have a purpose, they enjoy everything they do more.

The tombstone test can help you figure out purpose. Ask yourself "what would I like written on my tombstone?" that is "What is my purpose in life".

Do you want your tombstone to read "He won the dance contest or he knew a lot of moves" or would you like it to read "He helped many people get what they wanted so he got what he wanted.

My purpose is to help people get the good feelings they want about dancing and about themselves
