View Full Version : How long will you live?

Made a few changes in the last year to improve my fitness and health this test is quite interesting.

Mercer Wealth Solutions - Australia - How long will I live for? (http://www.mercerwealthsolutions.com.au/calc/life_expectancy.asp)

If I get a pet, move to the country and have a sex change I will live another 7 years.

Could be a useful tool for Ceroc to check how many years they have out of each of us.

May be a bit to morbid to do a poll on how long we have left!

I made up my mind decades ago that I'm going @ 104.
My mind is now preconditioned and no-one is going to change that.

I want my monies worth out of my pension. Mean skinflint of a Scotsman.

Apparantly, I'll live until I'm 91, or 92 if you count children as "pets". :)

Quite frankly, I think we could look a lot worse... don't know how long he's been dancing for, but lots of dancers on here seem to have injuries and aches and pains from them from their 20's onwards... by the time we get to our 80's and 90's we'll all have zimmer frames parked at the side of the dancer floor, and it'll be essential that we all have "frame" when dancing to hold each other up

Maybe this could be a new business area for Ceroc... "Sunny Vale Retirement Home For Aged Dancers". Our dotage could be like one big long weekender :D

94, still aiming for a hundred though!

But the question about pay is dodgy what about people who are teachers, nurses etc who have stressful jobs but are not highly paid!

All of which is about the day we die..

As dancers, perhaps we are lucky... all said and done, how many people truly get to live, even for just one day..

It is amazing how much we take for granted and it is only when we lose things that we realise how good they were. One minute we are merrily going along and the next minute your life completely changes.

My accident has really made me appreciate the simple things in life like walking, driving and being able to do basic things and of course dancing.

I intend to make the most of things once I am well again. No more moaning about Tina Arena tracks. It has also made me realise how difficult it must be for people with permanent disabilities to come to terms with things.

I am also trying to do as much as possible now so that I can avoid feeling sorry for myself. I am working from home, back driving after three weeks, despite coming up against all sorts of obstacles an dpeople trying to stop me,( so can make it to DJ at Southport).

Oh and of course taking strange life expectancy tests (make it 86 with sex change).

Too true

My neighbours wife called the doctor as she thought her husband looked unwell

The Doctor came and to called an ambulance
My neighbour told him not too bother and went back to his potting shed

When the ambulance came, blue lights flashing, he came out of his shed and told them to go away, then had a massive heart attack and passed away

SOME teachers are highly paid, but not all of them! My Mum works in a libray, 9-5 5 days a week and earns more than me and also my best friend who is a physio!

Don't get me wrong though, I love my job and to me that is more important than a nice big pay packet. I know that as the years go on and I gain more responsibilty the wage will go up, it can take a while but as long as I wake up and look forward to going to work I will continue to teach!

SOME teachers are highly paid, but not all of them!

Exactly - a teacher has a lucrative career path - thats more than can be said for many other jobs you can have. So to suggest a teacher is not highly paid is clearly wrong.

Well - I tried answering it honestly, and got 84. Then I decided to be unhealthy, and started giving it 'bad' answers (no exercise, 20 a day, high stress, etc, while putting my age as 30-50)..... and it said I'd last until I was 12 years old. Change my smoking to 85 a day, and I should have died the year before I was born. Maybe the form could have done with a little more testing and refinement

Interestingly, if I change my age to 70 or above, but leave the rest the same (and on 20 a day), I was allowed to live until 15. So clearly old people live longer. Or something....
