A late result we decided that in light of one of the Lucky Dip partners leaving for personal reasons to award a consolation prize to the lady that was unable to compete further. Like all the prizes nothing too excessive a wee bottle of bubbly.

The lady in question did a superb job and clearly had her partner remained she would have won. The lady in question has raised significant funds in sponsorship which I will announce when she has collected it all.

No disrespect to her (I don't even know who she is) and I don't grudge her the bottle of champagne for the disappointment of missing out, but I think that's a bit of a silly statement, Scot, and a bit disrespectful of those who did take part and won!

Surely no-one is assured of winning before the dance has even taken place - no matter how good someone is they can have an off-day, or trip over a shoelace or whatever!!!! There's not much point in having the final if the decision is made beforehand.

Small quibble, though - a great day and superbly organised.
