Further to this thread (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/chit-chat/15101-qr-codes.html#post442967) on QR codes, I've used the generator at winksite.com (http://winksite.com/site/section2b.cfm?article_level2_category_id=15&article_level2a_id=316&article_level2b_id=704) a couple of times to convert several URLs into UR codes so that I can easily scan them into my mobile phone.

Now what would be really cool is to have an extension for Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/) that pops up a QR code of the current page ready to scan. It would save having to find winksite and manually copying and cutting pages. And would raise the profile of QR codes too.
:D
So - does anyone fancy a project writing a Firefox extension (http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Extensions?)??? The copyurl+ extension (http://copyurlplus.mozdev.org/installation.html) (which requires tweaking before it will work in FF2) might provide inspiration for the code to copy the URL...

I haven't read the original thread, but a 'bookmarklet' or 'favelet' might do the trick simpler, if you know your SVG DOM for script-generated vector graphics ? I've done some VML DOM work, which is 'only' accessible to the IE-using majority, as opposed to the minority that use Firefox, Safari, Opera or plugins etc.
