Ah, that could be a minor problem.

The other minor problem for you Mr James is -

It clashes with Southport!

Well, I went, I saw, I was conquered :)

Lots of people, lots of dancers, great weather, free classes, DJs, bands, demonstrations, shoes.... Fantastic, in short.

And just wandering along the South Bank in the sunshine, you saw a lot of other festivals - e.g. Swing - stalls, demonstrations, and so on. Now that's what I call a good use of council taxpayers' money

Highlights for me were the noon class on Sunday (OK, 12.15, but it's Latin Time after all), with Ivan and Natalie - they managed to fit into a single 45-minute class:
- Walking
- Dissociation
- Holds
- Basic 8
- Posture
- styling

:respect:

The place was packed - but strangely enough, and unlike the Tango Al Fresco thing, the dance floor wasn't so busy. So it felt like a bit of an exhibition at times - plus, people clapped at the end of each track, which was a bit :what:

The evening sessions were a mix of AT and "Latin American sounds" - i.e. salsa. In short, it was great.

I went with the Birmingham crowd who are linked to the Cheltenham crowd. Sitting together we were quite enthralled, the dancers, the teachers, the sun and the scenery were a powerful combination.

People asked me to dance who didnt even know me. I felt pleased and enjoyed every minute. They were courteous friendly and helpful. I am having a block with the hero and explained to my embarrassment I fluff this every time. It was dealt with unaminously as a source of interest, they offered different solutions and I felt relaxed and happy.

David was there and we danced. I love dancing with him its so much a pleasure and he said I was developing well. Some how from him I don't feel it as anyh thing other than approval. When you dance with some one only a few times a year they see your progress more than you do.

I watched and listened. The humm around us was powerful. I tore myself away top eat and drink, only the thought of not being able to carry on into the night persuaded me to take a break.

It was enchanting. I loved every moment of it, and would like to offer my thanks to every one who contributed to putting on the event, and to the dancers who made it so special

You know who you are:cool:
