Message compacting

The latest version of outlook express on my computer which uses Win Xp ,has an annoying habit of asking me, every time I come out of the program,
if I want to save disk space and compact my messages " No, I bloody don't" is the answer....
Does anyone know how I can disable this pop up???????
I'm sure it knows it's irking me!

delete it and use gmail :)
