Now. You know I don't like to be picky.

But is there a reason we have two of  and  ? yes, there is... when the smilies were first added, I had omitted the second colon, and it upset some Forum users... Can't remember which thread it was discussed in but should be easy to find.
I corrected the mistake later on but by then, all the posts made using those smilies had broken codes, so I kept both versions, with or without the second :

Should just bite the bullet and remove the wrong one! :what:

TheTramp

Ah. Okie.

Yeah. Bite the bullet.

Then we'd have room for Mr. Woohoo :D

Lory has already said how Mr. Woohoo was her favourite! :D

Great smilies.

Are there any instructions on how to include these "foreign" smilies into the body of a post rather than just as an attachment? (I still want to use Lou's "whip" smilie and never got an answer to this question before   )

Clive
Edit: Also Steve Lampard's original attachments display as vast , empty windows in my browser. I'm guessing this is due to a broken link (haven't delved)

If true, then such "external references" would make inline smilies vulnerable to "decay"

Like this... [IMG]http://leroc.net/images/actionsmiley039_01.gif

Hit reply and have a look at the bbcode to see how it works...

No, the original attachments are still there really... It's just that their thumbnails are broken. The broken thumbnails appear as wee question-mark images for me and when I click on them, I get to see the original attachment.

I think this is true for all image attachments pre the 3.0 forum upgrade which I think was done last summer...

However, you are right that external references to images are vulnerable to decay... if the owner of the whip decided to change it for something else, or remove it altogether...
