I just think it looks really, REALLY phallic a la the guy who designed "Alien" and has done countless "art" books...

Maybe that says more about me than anything else!!

I know the artist, but "ham-shank"? I'm a bit lost.
I don't see the phalic reference; I see the "I squish your head" as proposed by DS, and TT's oriental style, and the "random lines" theory that Beowulf put forward. Don't worry CJ - Even our resident artist, Emms had a problem decyphering it.

{edit- just got it; you're a sick puppy CJ - I may have to change it now}

Inspired by Adam's workshop - it should be fairly close to a seducer where the man's hand flows down the lady in a mirror to hers raising above her head. {nice move BTW} The lines just looked wrong when I moved the man's hand lower - I like the curve of the mans arm anyway.

This thread is way too Freudian. Gadget's aviator is quite clearly a young Caucasian man (18-20 years of age) brutally stabbing a cardboard cut-out of Olive Oil (from Popeye fame)... in his orange painted bedroom ... which he has just painted!!

I personally thought it was a unicorn or manticore or something like that.. but knowing Gadget it's probably ..erm.. A couple doing a man spin while the man smokes a pipe and the woman juggles a pineapple while deftly avoiding treading on the army of lilliputian samurai under their feet.

Not that I'm saying Gadget's surreal or anything.. Heavens forbid, he's the most Wardrobe catflap doorbell person I know and would never elephant tusk a blue bath just for the fun of it.. :confused: :confused:

Well, like I said, I thought it was a turkey giblet, but now I've changed me mind.

It's clearly a bunch of garlics. :grin:

Those who said "Dragon", give yourselves a prize. {although I can't recall many dragon images with unicorn horns} It actually reminds me of the old TSR games logo...

It's actually not my artwork :blush:; I stole it from someone else's tatoo because I thought it looked cool - all I did was change the colour and put it in a shiney button.:waycool:

You mean you skinned someone, dried their hide, then scanned it on your PC and used their tattoo for your avatar?? You fiend.. :wink:

Was it yours?

Are you wearing the dressing gown to cover up the scar?:wink:

Talking of dressing gowns, what's the difference between that and a house-coat?

I've got it...

it's a sea unicorn that (referring to another thread) has become too excited on the dance floor.

Yes?

Ohhhh, a dragon.

During my more violent days (self defence mind!) I began to study Japanese/Chinese writings (actually studying the samurai but obviously related)
I thought that avatar was the word 'dance' in Chinese. I thought it looked quite similar.

Most of the posts on this thread relate to past avatar images: you only see the current one, so you may be just as depraved as the other people here...{with the exception of CJ :wink::devil:}

(I will try and find the past avatars so people can see what all the comments were about.)

BTW, can anyone (Paul F?) point me to a site that has images of Chinese charicters? (Îè µ if you have the chinese char set installed)

I'm getting bored with my current avatar: Attached sketches of a few ideas for a new one.

The last few times I've changed it to something like these I get accused of having a pornographic (or sick) avatar - so which is the best one and least likley to be miss-interpreted?

(If all you see is random lines, then you need to squint at it from four feet away while stand on one leg and tilting your head at 30º to the left. :cool: )

Since I've lost touch with my student friends, I never really get to read "More" anymore.

Consequence of this is I miss out on Position of the week!!:tears:

LOL, even before i read CJ's reply i was already thinking 1 & 14 were kinda dodgy ;) and is it me or does no. 8 look a bit like an upside down raindrop with a smiley face. or maybe i'm just going a bit mad sitting in the office by myself with noone to talk to!

:shrug: there only sketches - once I decide which I like, I'll work on it... possably make it more like an oriental brush-stroke I think... or maybe neon... or perhaps just shaded highlights in darkness... dunno yet.

I think that my current avatar is the closest to a unicorn I will ever have it: I'm more a dragon or wolf person.

To be honest, I kinda liked No. 6, but it seems to have a more martial arts feel than dance. (I know the two are inextricably linked, but there you have it.)

Anyone else having difficulty seeing what my new avatar is? Nope – it's a black box with a dark blob in it that someone is scanning with a laser, presumably trying to price it.

Right? :nice: No??? :tears:

Well, yes - I didn't even realize it was animated the first few times...

But then, I'm notoriously rubbish at this sort of thing, I didn't get the "road lights" (Star Wars? I dunno) one someone had - think it was Lou - either...
