A Friend of mine has emigrated to Calgary in Canada and is having Ceroc withdrawal symptoms! and hasn't danced for like nearly 3 months, does anyone happen to know of anyone who runs any dancing out that way (Modern jive, Lindy, WCS)? Would be a great help-please let me know asap before he does actually go insane!!

thanks

Fiona, one of our Inverness Taxi dancers, is off to Canada very soon :tears: I'm pretty sure she's found somewhere to dance when she's there. If you pm Dazzler he might be able to get you some info :)
Although, I appreciate it's a big country, might be way too far from your friend

Well they might not have a venue in Calgary yet, but you could try Ceroc Canada (http://www.ceroccanada.ca) for starters......:flower:

There is a Swing/Lindy group there called the Calgary Lindy Grasshoppers

The Calgary dance website is Welcome to Swing Dance Calgary (http://www.swingdancecalgary.com), and she could also write to ufocswingdance@hotmail.com, which is the University swing group.

PM me and I will give you a couple more email contacts

Ceroc should be starting in Calgary on Thursday 10th April 2008. I don't know details of the venue yet, but keep an eye on the Ceroc Canada web-site (http://www.ceroc.ca) for more more details nearer the time. I am a crew member of Ceroc Vancouver and we will be coming to Calgary for the opening night.

Sounds good. I should be moving to Edmonton in the next couple of months. It's a bit far to travel for a regular night but if they have a Saturday party there I'd definitely look into it.
