Tragedy
You've lost that loving feeling
I try
I think I'm alone now
Love don't live here anymore
why don't you do right
going under
taking over me
warning sign
this is the last time
everybody's changing

:whistle:There was/is a video company that come to your wedding and put together a pop-style video to match a particular track - with the couple & their guests miming to the track. On a TV show on disaster weddings there was an interview with a bride who did have "Tragedy", (Steps or some other inane group had done a remake with a video featuring a bride at her wedding - so guess that's why she chose it). It didn't have a happy ending and she very much regretted the choice of track, but didn't see anything wrong with it at the time. :what:

The most interesting wedding music I've heard was the Hitchcock 'stabbing' music from "Psycho" which the groom chose for the cutting of the cake. Since most of his family had boycotted the wedding because they didn't care for his choice of bride, it was a brave choice.

Well, I am still laughing...   (in fact crying...) fantastic choice..
:yeah:

I remember doing this routine with Emma and Alex at a Rockbottoms weekender a while back... had an absolute whale of a time.. it looks almost exactly the same...

Going back over 20 years, I think I/we chose ''I want to Know what love is..'' (maybe Chicago..?) at our Wedding.. rings a bell (or two)...

I believe today, I have realised and its not what I thought it was.....

Personally when.. ahem I mean IF I get married. I'd going to go corny.

I'm going to hire an American white naval officer suit and get them to play "Love lift us up" by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes :)

then carry the bride (dressed in overalls with a headsquare obviously) out the door.

if that doesn't put ladies off from marrying me then nothing will. It's worked so far, 2 engagements and no weddings

On a slightly related theme - funerals, two songs that wouldn't really be appropriate are:

Burn Baby Burn (Disco Inferno) and

Going Underground

Now...you see...if you had been in the blues room on sunday afternoon, you would not have been disappointed.

I went to a lot of effort especially for you, and I can tell you.....it wasnt easy getting the green paint off my car hubcaps and replacing them afterwards.

Some people just dont appricaite my efforts.:D

One of my best friends got married 2 years ago and she told me her story of choosing the wedding song with her fiancee. She asked him what his favourite song should be and he said that he liked the one from Boyz-2-Men - you know........End of the Road   He did not realise at the time that the song is all about getting divorced!!

Anyway, they chose Amazed by Lonestar instead. Cop-out!!

In the states they have divorce parties. A lot of these songs would be perfect for that.

I wish I could persuade my bloke to dance like that.....he refuses point blank to go near the dance floor unless YMCA is playing at the time!!

So, YMCA will probably be MY first dance as a married woman. Even now, I'm beginning to wish the earth would swallow me up!

Couldn't you persuade some jivers to go clubbing with you and your other half? He might change his mind if some of the leads pull some Smooth moves on you, to whatever might be playing ;)

(Attempt at own risk - no liability for jealousy accepted by poster :) )
