Monday
======
Wandered up to my usual class at Newbury leisure centre -- it's great that the organisers are prepared to bring in Lee (Lee & Shelley) from London to teach the Intermediate group. Lee brings so much enthusiasm to proceedings and a level of technical detail I haven't seen at any other dance classes (and a whole collection of "single-entendres").

Ventured out to pastures new (?) last night -- and tried a newish salsa class at London Hall in Twyford. Nice friendly group. Plenty of room and a reasonable range of tempos to practice to.

The Advanced class (similar in level to Monday's Intermediate one) was fun -- the shine was moderately challenging, including a nice solo travelling turn. The partnered routine had some nice new lead options and some vaguely ocho-like ("cool steps") partnered shine for the follower (with a solo jump, and toe point, etc.) Laith (sp?) was another brilliant teacher -- enthusiastic and with an eye for detail (I've got a couple of corrections to work on :) ).
