I had a really great night too. Spent most of the night in the unfortunately poorly-populated blues room – the music in the main room was great, and there were lots of good dancers, but a sore knee and finger meant I was avoiding too many dances to faster music.

Good to see everyone there. :)

Well was fab night, was great to catch up and dance with some of my fav dancers :worthy: , with some fab music. Lorna kept us all on our toes :worthy:

Was a shame blues room was under populated Steve but at least you got to sneak through for a few dances, even if I still didn't get a dance....

Big :kiss: to BeeBee for picking me up at station and   to Pretzelmeister for being such a fab host!

I like Steve's music but couldn't dance in the blues room as the floor was filthy, it was like dancing on glue (I did try) and everybody I spoke to had the same view.
The main room was good and Lorna's music was a refreshing change from what we've come to expect in the GU, lots of good danceable music (fast, slow and smooth), more dancers up dancing than sitting around speaks volumes for the quality of the music played on the night.
It's a shame Steve's music couldn't be appreciated due to the floor.

Yeah. The floor was really bad. About the worst that I've ever danced on.

It was a real shame, but I don't know if there's anything that can be done about it. Will speak to Franck soon....

By the end of the night the floor was in a much better state – I could do spins and slides on it which just weren't possible earlier on.

The floor had been cleaned at the start of the night, and I guess it took a while for it to dry out properly – perhaps more dancers in the room would have dried it out faster.

It'd have been good though if the GUU could have cleared and cleaned the floor earlier in the day.
