Just noticed this event at Heythrop Park Hotel and Country Club run by Ceroc Oxford.

Mrs Par and I went along for the evening freestyle last time they held an event. We had a really great evening and thought the venue was amazing set in acres and acres of grounds.... the driveway was about mile and half long.

They say this on there site...

50% tickets already sold.
A sumptuous 3-course dinner with musical accompaniment (quartet)

night of dancing with music fDJs, John Baker and our Man Flynn

Dazzling cabaret - national Ballroom champions

Extended dance floor by 30% from last year

Discounted room rate negotiated with hotel if you choose to stay over

Smart dress or dress to impress as Cinders, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother or one of the Ugly Sisters!

Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment. £35 for Dinner & Dance or £32 pp for table of 10 (when purchased at the same time) and £15 for Caberet & Dance only tickets (limited numbers).

I am keen to go along again as is Mrs Par ... we are going to get there for the meal this time too... and listen to the quartet!!

dancing from 2130 to 0130 so plenty of freestyle and a possible extention to 0230 not yet arranged.... its a long old drive from Worthing but it is such a lovely venue and setting we going for it....

Any one else interested in joining us there?? We are considering the hotel option too!!

Just considering what to dress up as! Any suggestions on a post card please:D

Sounds good to me. Nothing else on the calendar. Think i might just do the freestyle though, unless i can find a man to accompany me.

I was thinking of Hammersmith myself. See how many times I can get rejected....

Roy's just asked me to be the the 'official' photographer for this event, so Tessalicious and I will be there also. (I'll not only be taking pictures throughout the night but also be setting up to do proper portraits for anyone who wants, with prints available on the spot.)

Really disappointed to be missing this. :tears: It's a really good event. Our crew went last year and had a great time. Oh well, can't do everything, we will have to make do with a little sunshine!:waycool:

Yet another superb event organised by Roy & Melissa of Ceroc Oxford. The venue was the spectacular Heythrop Park Hotel. Dinner was excellent, accompanied by a 3-piece band whose music made me want to get up and dance (a foxtrot round the large dance floor was sooooo tempting). The freestyle music by Flynn and John Baker was absolutely fabulous:clap:  and kept the floor packed all night. The cabaret was a little late due to the demonstration couple getting lost! However, when they eventually got there, they put on a brilliant 5-dance latin demo (and they are only 18!:tears: ).

Well done to Roy & Melissa. Can't wait for their next black-tie ball - they really do know how to put on classy events at top-notch venues:cheers: .

:yeah:

It was a wonderful evening.

The Oxford team seem to have cornered a niche in the market; such classy venues and attention to detail.

Hopefully, there will be many more to come.

A belated post by me to thank Roy and Melissa or a great night.

the concept of a sit down meal (3 courses) at a dance event was lovely. It was nice to sit and chat to new faces and some old ones.

Everyone made the effort dressing up for the ball.:respect:

As LilyB said the 3 piece band where just great accompanying the meal.

Then following the meal we had 2 great sets played by John Baker and Flynn which had the floor buzzin' all night.

ESG and Tess where there snapping everyone dressed up in their ballgowns and tuxedos.... great service.. cheers guys:hug:

Those kids dancing the Caberet well just a different level:worthy: :worthy: :respect:

Look forward to the next one.

PS It is could not be described as a "couples only" event.

Thought i'd post a few pics. I didn't take many as i was too busy having a good time. The venue is just superb, once you find it! Be aware for future events there, that TomToms will direct you into the middle of a muddy field!
The music was fab, the meal was :yum: the people were all dressed up and looked gorgeous. The cabaret was very good but it really made you feel old,:( those two 18 year olds were such awesome dancers.
My only criticism was, the lack of dance floor space, but the carpet was surprisingly comfy to dance on so it wasn't too bad.
A huge thank you to my surrogate husband for keeping me entertained during the meal. You were the perfect escort (and you were cheap too, :D ).

:yeah: There were quite a few of us in the same boat, or field, as the case was!

Anyway, I agree with all the above, the attention to detail was wonderful, the welcome drink, the instant portrait service, the cabaret and food and music were all top notch. :waycool:

Well done to everyone who had a hand in the organisation and thank you to Kev for the invitation
