Best news for me is that
The Rythm & Dirty Blues Ball
night 27th January runs into my birthday so I will be spending my formative birthday hours with loads of my favourite people. Well Mrs Par will be there!!!

Will try and organise a cake but will have to pass on the candles as it may upset TWK's lighting

I am hoping that as many of you as possible can come along to the next Funky Lush which is going to be at Hatfield in Herts on 27th Jan the day before my birthday.

If any of you are thinking of travelling from any distance at all can I suggest you get onto the Travelodge website and get yourself a hotel room for £26

https://www.travelodge.co.uk/saver_search/results.php?search_type=4&search=Hatfield%2C%20Herts&id=11467

shows that you can get a room in centre of Hatfield:cheers:

If you book early with Funky lush the tickets are cheaper too.

It would be lovely to have a Birthday bash with as many of you as possible.

I hope to be there. Although I haven't a clue where Hatfield is  I think a few people will be missing though, as they will be in France doing some WCS.

Sorry that we won't be able to come along to your birthday bash (or the next funkylush) as Commis Chef and I will be in Paris for the West Coast Swing weekend (we need all the tutition, help and practice) that we can get.

The travelodge hotels occassionally make travelling away to things bearable especially when there are workshops that we want to go to on both the saturday and the sunday and a dance on the saturday evening. Last weekend we were able to do Cat and Lees cha cha worskshop in Twickenham on saturday, get to Funkylush in the evening, and do the Jango workshop and T-dance in Putney and only a reasonably priced hotel made it all possible.

Yeah. I actually stopped and considered coming down for your birthday Paul, and then realised that I'll be in Paris that weekend.

I'll save my birthday dance for Southport the following weekend. For some reason, I'm assuming that you're going!

easy life, just 3 hrs for me then

It's over 2hours minimum from Brighton  providing no accidents or roadworks on the M25

Have made the journey a few times going to Joseph & Trisha's events and on a couple of ocassions it has taken over FOUR hours

If travelling from the south, it might be easier to go Dartford way rather than the Heathrow direction - the M25 is usually better in that way round :really:

Ah, it's all part of the cake-eating mafia, Actually I think you'll find at Funky Lush it's less cake, and more sushi.
(Except at a tea dance, but then you knew that  )

Mr Par's Birthday, Funky Lush and Travelodges - I do love it when someone else does all the thinking! Now where did I put my credit card!

Sounds like a plan - providing I have the appropriate funds, I would love to celebrate your birthday with you!
